Jens Bergensten

This piece is a portrait of someone who has personally inspired me. Through a domino effect, starting with a video game I played as a kid, I ended up in college for Illustration. Jens Bergensten is the lead developer of that game- Minecraft. This game is where my creativity flourished for years- and still does, sometimes!

I wanted to clearly show Jens' role in creating this game, so I put him in his own created environment. I pulled real Java programming from the game and displayed it as if it was appearing in the in-game chat log, added in other motifs like binary and experience orbs from the game, and showed him physically constructing a creature from the game.
