The Heist

Would you accept an invitation to loot a dragon's lair? This whimsical greeting card invites you on a fantastical quest- one you literally must unsheathe your sword to begin! Your map lies on the outside, so you have everything you need!

Originally, this concept looked a little different. It evolved from a bank robbery to give it more intrigue, and the shape for the same reason. The three-panel look gives it a more rugged, natural feel you'd expect from a mountain. The overlap between the two outside panels also keeps the inside a true secret from the attendee. As for the physical mock-up, the sword's sheath does actually function. The sword bends, which may be a tad unrealistic, but that means you won't ever need to buy a new one for your quest, since it doesn't break! The attachments for the sword and sheath are also invisible to ensure you can see the landscape on the back of the card as well. The inside of the card is tactile, meaning, the piles of gold and the dragon itself are 3D. They're slightly raised. I wanted this card to be interactive and fun, and all of these details ensure it is!
