The Tragedy of the Ugly Duckling

This project is spin-off of the old folk story The Ugly Duckling! The premise of this project was to change the genre of an existing story. I put a more unfortunate twist on it, and turned this story into a tragedy.

In the original story, there's a cat that often harasses the duckling, but in the end, leaves him alone. However, this time, he didn't let the duckling get away. The duckling never got the chance to grow into a beautiful swan. He ended up dying prematurely, before the other birds grew to like him. I feel rather bad for him- I even had his neck snapped.

I explored other stories in my thumbnails, but ended up settling on The Ugly Duckling because the twist on this story is so simple, but so effective.
